BTW, I do understand what you mean about the 2000s. Honestly, everything from the 2000s looked and sounded the same to me. Movies, music, television, all looks and sounds the same. I find it difficult to find any television show (I don't want sitcoms very often) that doesn't shove sex and loose morals down my throat. Music all sounds the same with lots of driving guitar (which isn't bad if it has character) and either someone singing like Cookie Monster, or they're whining about how horrible everything is. Country music used to be the last resort for anything uplifting, and it's even becoming trashy.

I can't think of more than one or two movies made in the 2000s that were worth my time. Matt mentioned games, but the last I had was my box of 60 games and my old Atari 2600 (which I donated to Goodwill 20 years ago).

I wish I would have kept my 2600.
On another game-related note, I was about floored when I found out that the original Final Fantasy VII I had (that I gave away because I was done with it) sells for about $400 now. It was all original, original box, the booklet that comes with it, the whole thing and I gave it away.

And that's about the only game I don't play! Actually, I don't do well with any "timed" game. I can not think correctly if I am up against a clock. Now, take the time element away, and I'll do just fine... in fact, I'll probably be able to beat any time limit, but knowing that I have to beat a certain time makes me nervous.
Can you all tell I'm bored today?

I miss the Avalon Hill games I used to play . Diplomacy , Axis of something ( WW2 ) , a excellent Napoleonic era game , War of the Roses , Civ . Speaking of Civ. , Civ 5 anyone ?

My neighbor's kids came over because I have more gaming consoles than they have at home. It was fun, actually... also reminded me of how glad I am that my kids are all grown up.
